A speech by David Milliband: minister of state for school standards. ‘personalising education: The future of public sector reform. London 18 May 2004. Note to self refer to hard copy.
In this speech he mentions the work ‘ Exit, Voice and loyalty: responses to decline in firms, organisations and states. Considered a classic work by American sociologist Albert Hirschman.
There is a good review of the book in amazon.

As part of my research and reading I came across this document:
2020 Vision - report of the teaching and learning in 2020 review group. It is main ly concerned with the personalised learning agenda.
I will be coming back to this document. I have parked it in my divshare account ( I have a hardcopy for detailed reading - note to self)

At last Ruth’s departure for Australia is here! I am sure we will all miss her. Australia prepare for super Ruth!
Reflecting on the course to date I feel quite transformed or rejuvinated back to ICT. The Transformation Teachers Programmne brought me back to when I studied The OU course ‘ You, your computer and the internet’.
I feel quite conversant with the Mac platform and all the things I can do with it. It is amazing what one can do with the software. I have focussed mainly on Podcasting (GarageBand) and photoshop elements 3 .
On blogging: I enjoy blogging and recording my thoughts. In some ways it has encouraged me to write. As a consultant I do feel I want to be writing on matters to do with education. It has been quite helpful to bounce ideas with Susan kambalu. Technorati is great. must get it into it more.

I find that if I want to really get to grips with a complex piece of software I use atomic learning on one computer and have the macbook open. I have started with creating a collage; need the square or eliptical marque tool to cut a section from the secondary picture picture, then select > feather to soften the edges > move tool to attach onto main picture.
I used the cloud show picture as main pic and the face from the my manga gal drawing as the moon!

I was really lucky to just capure this picture. Even though it is quite inspring to me ( the interplay between the blue sky , dark cloud and sunshine behind it all. The house to the left and the green washing line spolis it a bit! hence I am going to use this picture as the material to getting to grips with Photoshop elements 3; to make it more natural!
