Book review where wizards stay up late
‘where wizards stay up late ‘ was written in 1998. It was one of the text books on the then ground breaking open university course ‘ You , your computer and the internet. That was in 2000. Even then the OU had a smooth managed learning environment called ‘FirstClass’ – I have digressed.
I was prompted to re-read this book because of the talk about Web 2. It is considered the definitive story of the how the internet started. Once you understand how the internet started and the basis of how it generally operates then my own opinion about web 2 is more about an attempt to re-classify web 1. might as well talk about Earth 2 or Universe 2.
‘ If you wanted to know who put the @ in your email address, then where wizards stay up late is the book for you.
Anyway worth a look. perhaps in amazon. see the reviews
